Sound Healing

How it works

Sound Healing has been around for thousands of years as all ancient civilisations have used sound therapeutically.  By sound, it is meant any instrument which vibrates, which includes the voice.  Sound healing works because at the smallest particle level, we (and everything on the planet) are made up of vibrating particles called atoms.  These atoms vibrate in a pattern of synchronicity which is unique to that object or living thing.  If the vibrating particles start to "go out of sync" for some reason, it would no longer be possible to maintain a state of health.  Sound healing works by affecting the vibration in a positive way, so that health is inevitable.

Sound healing might sound a bit new age, but sound is used in hospitals to break up kidney and gallstones using a machine which emits a particular sound frequency.  If sound can do that in one or two hours, it's obviously a very powerful healing tool.

What to expect

Sound healing is one of the non-talking therapies.  Instead you sit or lie down fully clothed while the sound healer uses his or her voice to bring about healing.  It's instantly calming and many people notice a tingling sensation in their bodies.  Some find spontaneous relief from their symptoms during a session.  The sound healer works intuitively making tones with her voice close to the clients body.  I ask people to sit or lie down, whichever is the most comfortable for them.

Many people find that they experience sensations in their bodies as I carry out a sound healing.  Some notice changes immediately, and others notice changes in the days or weeks that follow.
